ZALTER, Sheila (née Trister) On Sunday, March 10, 2019 in her 82nd year.
Devoted wife of the late Leonard Zalter. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Mark and Sarit Zalter, and Brenda Zalter-Minden and Gary Minden. Proud grandmother of Jordan and Kimberley Zalter, Brittany and Tomer Aharon, Geoffrey and Elana Zalter, Jonathan Ventresca, and Rachelle Zalter. Adored great-grandmother of Lincoln and Peyton Zalter, and Arden, Rylan, and Lia Aharon. Cherished sister and sister-in-law of Laddie and the late Joan Trister, and sister-in-law of Joey and Linda Zalter, Harvey and Ruth Zalter, and Roz and Morty Elman. Sheila will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to all of those who provided care for her during her final weeks, most notably Uthaiwan Khopchit and the nurses and doctors of St. Peter’s Hospital.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon Street West, Montreal on Wednesday, March 13 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Hebrew Protective Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at 5967 Macdonald Avenue, Montreal, Wednesday following burial until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., continuing in Hamilton.
