AFONSO, Maria Santos It is with much sorrow that Maria’s family announces her passing on November 16, 2016. She will be profoundly missed by her husband Anacleto Afonso of 54 years, daughters Sonia Masotti (Mike) and Thelma Mendes (Samuel). Vovo will be sadly missed by her adored grandchildren Sara, Joshua, Justin, Victor, Devin, and Simon. Also survived by her brothers Jose (Fernanda), Carlos (Alice) and the late Egidio (Isaulina) Santos. Maria will also be missed by her loving extended Afonso and Santos families, as well as many friends. Special thanks to the General Hospital staff for their compassionate care.
