AIDA MARIA CRAWFORD 1924 – 2017 Peacefully at home surrounded by her family passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 in her 93rd year. Loving wife of the late Jack Crawford of 64 years. Devoted mother to John (Trish), Tony (Helene) and Yolande (Ed). Beloved grandmother to Sean (Melissa), Kevin (Sarah), Anthony (Jen), Dennis (Leslie), Lindsay (Scott) and Melanie. Cherished great-grandmother of 10. Loving sister to Eva DaPrato (Aldo) and sister- in-law to Teresa Attias (Pepe), predeceased by sister-in-law Margaret Crawford (Harry). Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Aida dedicated her life to the care of children. She was recognized as a early pioneer in the establishment of day care centres in Scarborough. The family wishes to thank Dr. Fischer and all the health care providers for their dedication and attentive care. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the MCEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME (28 Old Kingston Rd.) on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation are appreciated.
