BARBARA GWENDOLYN MAGEE October 20, 1938 – May 12, 2016 Passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016 in Port Hope. Loving wife of Douglas Bruce Magee. Devoted mother to Kristopher Bruce and Kevin Alexander. “Gwen” was a stalwart contributing supporter of minor hockey for over half a century. An unfaltering “behind the scenes” fixture in Metro Toronto Hockey League during the 80s and 90s. She was witness to countless youngsters transform from players to NHL stars and TV sports personalities. She managed to travel to several hockey destinations throughout the hockey world. Gwen was always eager to help out and strived to do things the right way when possible. She always kept her hands busy whether she was knitting toques for entire teams or painting keepsakes. Her artistic flair will be deeply missed. Services will take place at Port Hope Union Cemetery, Saturday, July 23rd at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations on her behalf to the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program would be appreciated.
