With deep sadness and regret, Bill’s family announces his sudden passing on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Trillium Hospital (Mississauga). Remembering him with deepest love are wife Janis and daughters Breanne, her husband Corey Newberry, and Jeanette, with her partner Shawn Roppel.
Bill was a devoted family man and loved building tree forts and swing sets for his girls, watching them in dance recitals and as they grew, helping them out in their own homes. He was an excellent handyman and very creative in carrying out Janis’ many home and garden reno ideas (and there were many!) over the years.
After a long career at Rogers Telecommunications, Bill enjoyed the last 2 years in retirement by improving his golf game, learning to geocache and using his photography skills on several worldwide trips. He and Janis thoroughly enjoyed exploring new parts of the world. Taken from us much too soon, he is forever in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Christ Church, 1700 Mazo Crescent, Mississauga (Truscott and Clarkson Road) on Wednesday, July 13th at 11:00 a.m. A reception in the church will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Trillium Hospital or a charity of your choice. Our grateful thanks are extended to the Mississauga Firefighters and Trillium paramedics and staff who delivered critical care to Bill.
