TYE, Claude —
After a courageous battle with cancer Claude passed away at home with family on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the age of 82. Beloved husband to Frances. Cherished dad and step-dad to Lynn (Ron Rice), Karen (Dave Walton), Michael Devoy (Grace da Silva), Christine Devoy (Brian Meisner), Paul Devoy (Janet), David Devoy (Judy Jones), Ann (Dan Wiggins), Trish (Jeff Major). Loving Grandpa to Alex, Colin, Vera, Sean, Lauren, Natalie, Andrew, Nicholas, Emma, Ian, Eric, Ryan, Matthew and Abby. Claude will be dearly missed by nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles and cousins. Claude spent 35 years working with Ford Motor Company in Oakville and after retirement he began a new career with Investors Group. He was a longtime and Past Master in the Masonic Lodge in Oakville, President of the Oakville Track Club and also a member of the Oakville Kiwanis Club. Visitation will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville (Dundas/403) on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Glen Oaks Chapel on Friday, August 12th, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Juravinski Cancer Centre.
