CORNELL, Lucy Margaret R.N. Passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the age of 98. Predeceased by her loving husband Robert. Loved mother of Margaret Ludberg (the late James), Kathryn Watt (Robert) and Ruth Wanless (David). Cherished grandmother of David (Kelly), Robert (Sarah), Michael (Heather), Andrew (Tiffany); step-grandmother of David (Pina), Leeann and Greg (Jen). Great-grandmother of Sarah, Nathan, Emily, Alyssa, Hailey; step-great-grandmother of Ashley, Bianca, Elijah, Emma and Ethan. Missed also by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers William (Martha), Roy (Grace) and Kenneth (Margaret). As a life long member of the Anglican Church Margaret was a member of the Altar Guild, ACW, Parish Council and sang in the choir for 80 years. She received the Order of Niagara in 2002. In 1940 Margaret graduated from the Hamilton Civic Hospitals School of Nursing. Margaret loved gardening and appreciated the earth; a gardener extraordinaire. Visitation at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 7 St. Andrews Avenue, Grimsby, on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 7-8:30 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Reception to follow at the Church. Interment Woodland Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Andrew’s Anglican Church would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
