Kathleen Jeanne CURLEY
CURLEY, Kathleen Jeanne (July 3, 1959) Suddenly at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Friday, August 26, 2016, a beautiful heart stopped beating. She will always be loved and sadly missed by her husband Murray. Cherished daughter of Jeanne Popek (the late Kappy). Always remembered lovingly by her Uncle Al, her baby puppy Rosie, and many aunts and cousins. Kathy graduated with honours from Bishop Ryan High School and Mohawk College. A faithful employee of Arcelor Mittal for 36 years. Kathy loved all sports and completed 87 marathons including five Boston Marathons. She intended to run it again next year. She loved music and writing poetry. Kathleen also volunteered at Ronald McDonald House where she was known as the “Christmas Angel”, she prepared Christmas meals and helped many people. She will always be remembered with love. The family wishes to thank the ICU at the Hamilton General Hospital. Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King St. E. Hamilton (at Kenilworth), on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene’s Roman Catholic Church, 232 Queenston Road (at Parkdale) on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton/ Burlington S.P.C.A. would be appreciated.
