DONATO FASCIANO It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donato on June 10, 2017 at Humber River Hospital at the age of 88. Cherished husband of Maria Fasciano. Predeceased by his son Tony (March 2008). Beloved father of Jean (Nick Desimini), Lina (Gerry Turnbull) and father-in-law to Judy. Proud Nonno of Kristina, Natalie, Tessa, Kathleen and Stephen. Donato was born in Montorio Nei Frentani, Italy. He immigrated to Canada where he enjoyed a long and successful career with the Canadian National Railway. Donato will be remembered for his strength of character, his devotion to his family and his passion for gardening. Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Monday, June 12th from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St. Clair Ave. W., east of Caledonia Rd.).
