EileenMay TOMLINSON (nee Soucie)

TOMLINSON, Eileen May (nee Soucie) With saddened hearts, we wish to announce that Eileen, surrounded by love, took her place among the angels on July 2, 2017. Adored mother of Garth (Colleen), Mark (departed), Lisa (Fred), Scott and Jill. Grandmother to Gregory (Cyndi), Georgia (Dave), Sarah (Wes), Melissa, Justin (Rachel) and Tyler. Great-grandmother to Macklem, Alexandra, Kole, Noah and Ava. Remembered with love by Debbie, Zee, Jan (Richard), Casey (Diane) and as well by her other extended family in the Kingston area to whom she was “Aunty” and a cherished part of their lives. Eileen will also be greatly missed by her cousins whom she loved dearly as well as many treasured friends and acquaintances. As was her way, she devoted much energy toward teaching us the importance of practicing tolerance and acceptance in all persons and situations in life. Eileen was a dedicated nurse, graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Timmins in 1948 and practiced her nursing skills with empathy, compassion and dedication all the way into her later years. Along the way she volunteered her time to The Good Shepherd, Telecare, Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice and many other causes where she felt she was needed. Her entire life was dedicated to doing good and making a difference. She was considered by all who knew her to be a gracious and remarkable woman. Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will be held at The Scottish Rite, 4 Queen Street South, Hamilton, on Friday, July 14, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Good Shepherd in Hamilton or the YMCA would be appreciated, or perhaps consider doing a good deed for someone in need. “Semper Fidelis”
