FRANCOLIBERATORE

FRANCO LIBERATORE The entire Liberatore Family has lost its heart with the passing of our Husband, Father, Nonno and Bisnonno. Franco Liberatore peacefully passed away on February 14, 2017 at the age of 87. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Antonietta. He will be cherished by his dear children Vince (Angela), Loreta (Biagio Di Blasi) and Rosemary (Frank Romantini). Proud grandfather of Matthew (Ksymena), Sarah, Katrina, Julian and Carlos. His eyes lit up when he saw his great- grandson, Max. At the age of 24, Franco immigrated to Canada from Abruzzo, Italy. He would go on to create a little piece of Italy in Toronto for all fellow Italians in Continental Noodles Pastaio in 1967. To this day he still holds this endeavor near to his heart and is so proud of his family who have continued to prosper this business. He often said “I came here (Toronto) with Christopher Columbus” and would chuckle. He was charismatic, humorous and a social butterfly. He will be held dear in the hearts of all his family, relatives and many friends. Very special thanks to the outstanding team of health care workers at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital especially Dr. Arya and Dr. Mongiardi for their care and support. Visitations will take place at THE BERNARDO FUNERAL HOMES, 2960 Dufferin St. (2 streets south of Lawrence Ave.), on Wednesday from 7 – 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W.) at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017.
