FRED BILASZ April 29, 1931 – March 28, 2017 Dad left us peacefully after a year of prolonged suffering. Immigrated to Canada from France in May 1954. Worked hard to build a life here with his wife Anna (predeceased 2014) and four children. Loving father of Annemarie (Shane), Linda, Fred Jr. and predeceased daughter Helen (2011). Doting grandfather of Brent, Jason and Mitchell. To all his family and friends who knew him, fishing was his greatest passion along with playing the card game Euchre every chance he got. Will be greatly missed by family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W., Etobicoke, 416-259-3705, on Sunday, April 2nd from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Panakhyda to be held at 7 p.m. Rite of Orthodox Funeral on Monday, April 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. Demetrius, 3338 Lakeshore Blvd. W., Etobicoke. Interment to follow at St. John’s Dixie Cemetery (737 Dundas St. E., Mississauga). A heartfelt thanks to all those involved at the Care Centre in his care and support.
