Giuseppe GIGLIA
GIGLIA, Giuseppe Peacefully passed away at home with his family by his side on Monday, July 17, 2017 in his 85th year. Adored husband of Barbara (nee Wolski) for 56 years, cherished father and father-in-law of Joseph and Kim and extended family, Stephen and Stacey and Joanne Spoto. Dearest nonno of Kendra, Stevie, Lucas and Marissa. Much loved son of the late Giuseppe and Giovanna Giglia. Son-in-law of the late Stephen and Mary Wolski. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Calogero and Rossetta Giglia, Rosa and the late Felice Giglia, the late Francesca, the late Baldassaro and Carmelina Giglia, Rosa and the late Francesco Lombardo and the late Gerald Wolski. Giuseppe was born September 24, 1932 in Racalmuto, Sicily. He was a past employee of Ford Motor Co. for 38 years. Giuseppe was an usher at Sacred Heart Church for 25 years, and a past member of the Racalmutese Club and Trinacria Club in Hamilton and always enjoyed being part of the Racalmutese Folk Group. Giuseppe will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Racalmuto, Canicatti and in Canada. A sincere thanks to the V.O.N. the St. Elizabeth nurses, Dr. Zbuk and staff, Dr. David Yanover and the caregivers from LHIN, especially Rachel. Special thanks to the Ministers of Communion at Sacred Heart Church as well, Bill, Donna Brock and Samatha Erben. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. with Vigil prayers at 2 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Parish, 19 Viewpoint Avenue, Hamilton, on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington.
