BAILEY, Gordon James 1930 – 2017 With great sadness we announce the passing of Gordon Bailey on March 20th in his 87th year after a long struggle with cancer. Loving husband of Pearl for 63 years, and devoted father to Sandy (Nick), Len, (Jackie), and Sharon (Rick). Caring grandfather to Kerrie and Scott, Matthew, Aaron and Rachel, and Andrew and Jessica. Dear brother of Helen James (deceased), Flora Carroll and Fran Kearns. We will miss Gord’s dry wit, his remarkable memory, and his passion for telling old stories. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., Hamilton, on Monday, March 27 from 6-9 p.m. A Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Parish, 11 Wilson St. W., Ancaster, on Tuesday, March 28th at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Heartfelt thanks to Nurse Joanne Norwood for going above and beyond, the Cancer Assistance Program and the staff at St. Peter’s Hospital.
