MARTLIN, Helen (Palmer) Born in Hamilton on May 21, 1928, died in Amherstburg on September 15, 2017. Wife of the late Joseph (62 years: 1949-2011). Mother of Steven (BC), Wayne (BC), Janet (Cottam) and grandmother of Britny. Predeceased by her parents Dora Frances and George Palmer, her sisters Madeline (Lloyd) Coote and Edna Frances (Norm) Dickenson and her brother Arthur George (Grace) Palmer. Best friend of 77 years to Eileen Cameron (Ottawa). Helen was a proud member of the RCL Branch 157 for 29 years, the AMA Sportsman Club, and the Amateur Wine Makers Association. She was also the former co-owner of the MEADOWS TAVERN, Malden from 1972-1989. Visiting will take place at the James H. Sutton Funeral Home, 401 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg (519-736-2134) on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., with a Legion Service at 7 p.m. Funeral Service on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
