MORRIS, Jennifer Ann —

After a courageous battle with cancer, Jennifer Ann Morris died at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the age of 55. She leaves behind her partner Terence Carter and her dog Macintosh.

Jennifer was born on August 31st, 1961 in Toronto, first child to her mother Elizabeth Ann Morris (nee Swackhammer) and her father Gerald Morris who predeceased her. She lived in Toronto surrounded by a large loving family with her sister Janet Dunn (nee Morris) and her husband D’Arcy Dunn and her nephew Steven, Jennifer’s brother Greg Morris, his wife Melissa and her niece Teagan. Jennifer is also survived by her Aunt Susan Gooderham (nee Swackhammer), her uncle Albert Gooderham, cousins Sarah and Andrew Gooderham and Aunt Pat Morris of Thunder Bay along with many Morris cousins.

Jennifer was a talented and celebrated artist who excelled in textile art, beading and jewelry. Her creative passion was renowned in the artistic community and her accomplishments and work rewarded with countless accolades.

Jennifer requested to be cremated. Her ashes will be interred at the family plot at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery. The family would especially like to thank the team at the Odette Cancer Centre for their constant, attentive treatment. They also offer sincere gratitude to the staff of Wellspring, and Jennifer’s many wonderful friends for their constant love and support.
