MCNAMARA, Joseph – Passed away peacefully at his home in St. Catharines, with his family by his side on Sunday, November 6, 2016. Born in 1927 in Oshawa, Joe spent 20 years as a Scarborough Missionary, working for three years in British Guiana and eventually obtaining his doctorate degree from Angelicum Studiorum in Rome. He returned to work as a Priest in Toronto and in 1968 left the priesthood and married his beloved, Margaret Jamieson. Joe entered a new career in Probation and Parole and worked as the Area Manager in Niagara until he retired in 1991. He is survived by his three children: John, Michael and Kerry and six grandchildren.
