We sadly announce the passing of our fearless and brave mum, June Kelleher, on February 6, 2017 after a courageous 20-year battle with the cruel Alzheimer’s beast.
Single mother to seven children, Michael, Michelle, Maureen (Neil), Marcia (Bob) Denise (Steve), David and Deanne (Nando). 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A successful, 1970s ad woman for the Alberta Report, Commercial Real Estate sales. College Diploma, Social Work, Grant MacEwan College, degree in Geriatrics, University of Victoria (minus one course), when she was struck down by the disease. Just as she entered her second life, unencumbered by the burden of child rearing. Predictably selecting a field of study revered for caring and compassion.
A celebration of life will be held at the Balmy Beach Club, 360 Lake Front, Toronto, ON (foot of Beech Ave.) on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 2 p.m.
