KAREN MARIE STEPHENS May 15, 1952 – July 6, 2016 At Trillium Hospital Mississauga, on July 6 2016, Karen was called home. After a short illness, Karen mercifully gave up the fight. With her loving husband at her side, she went peacefully, with dignity and grace. Karen’s life was one filled with great passion, a love of life, lots of laughter and a smile that would light up a room and melt your heart at the same time. Every life she touched was enriched for having known her. She always gave more to others than she ever expected to get in return and was passionate about helping others trace their family heritage through her love of genealogy. Although not a golfer, Karen took great pride in being a part of St. George’s Golf Club and the many friends she had there. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Norma and is survived by her husband Erle and daughter Christine, as well as her sister Shirley and Shirley’s children and grandchildren and her brother Doug. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 24th at St. George’s Golf and Country Club, 1668 Islington Avenue, Etobicoke, ON M9A 3M9 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held at another date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society .
