OLEJNIK, Leona Cecilia At the age of 92, on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Dundurn Place Long Term Care Centre, Mom was peacefully called home by her Lord and Saviour. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Mike Olejnik in 1981. Dearly loved mother of her daughter, Corinne McLaughlin and her “son”, Jim McLaughlin. Proud and cherished Grandmother of Erin Kirkwood, Dr. Christopher McLaughlin and Andrew Kirkwood. Special and loved Great-grandma of Ryan and Alison Kirkwood. Predeceased by her parents, Mike and Winnieferd Golden and her siblings: George, Kay, Peggie, Sadie and Leo. She will be fondly remembered by her loving nieces, nephews and dear friends, Sheila, Elsie, Pearl and Kay. Our family wishes to thank the loving and caring staff at Dundurn Place Care Centre for their support, compassion, and kind words of sympathy. At Mom’s request, cremation has taken place and a private Family graveside service will follow at a later date. To honour Mom’s memory, an act of kindness to make someone smile and be happy would be appreciated by our family.
