Lisa passed away on June 7, 2021 in Toronto, at 50 years of age. She will be dearly missed by mother Thelma Vaz, sister Theresa Vaz, brother-in-law Dave Howard, dear friends Alexis Campbell and Lizabeth Pirstl, and niece Leah Howard. Predeceased by her father, Mellis Vaz. She will be remembered by Seneca College, Humber College, and Sheridan College staff and students as a kind and enthusiastic teacher who was much loved by her students.
We all love you and we miss you, Lisa. You’ll always be in our thoughts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to either the Canadian Red Cross (donate.redcross.ca) or CAMH (give.camh.ca). A small memorial will be live- streamed on Saturday, June 19th at 1 p.m. A visitation will be held at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor Street West, 416-767-3153) on Friday, June 18th.
