LONZEL “LON” PIKE Proud Veteran WWII Entered into rest peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Monday, January 30, 2017. Lon, in his 95th year, was the beloved husband of Sophie for 64 years. Much loved father of his daughters Cathy and Barb and her husband Doug and loving grandfather of Stephanie and her husband Dan and great- grandfather of Ben. He will also be missed by his son Lonny, wife Pat, his grandchildren Wendy, Christopher (deceased), Mathew and Jennifer and his 5 great- grandchildren. Lon touched the lives of many people in his professional and personal lives. He will be remembered as a honorary director of Lindsay and District Sports Hall of Fame and for his service in the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve. Friends and family are invited to attend a “Celebration of Lon’s Life” at the ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION, Branch 67, 12 York St. N., Lindsay (705-324-2613), on Saturday, March 4th from 1 – 4 p.m. A private memorial burial will take place in the spring at Pine Hills Cemetery in Scarborough.
