LOUIS ALDROVANDI 91, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends in Toronto. He is survived by his loving wife of Gianna; along with his children Grace (Bill) and Mark (Joan); his adoring grandchildren Andrea, Jacqueline, Marco, Gracie and Michael; and many nephews and nieces, great-nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his daughter Nancy. He had 7 siblings, Enzo (Augusta), Gianni (Bruna), Lino (Joanne), Maria (Poli), Elena (Viterbo) and Anselmo (Cornelia), with whom he spent many months together on annual trips to Italy. He was also close to Gianna’s siblings, Enzo (Franca), Luciana (Mike) and Tonino (Adriana). Much gratitude to Maria and Angelo Pereira, who for many years managed their house and lives. Louis immigrated to Canada in 1951 and through hard work and charm embodied the Canadian dream. His business success was chronicled in his autobiography, “A Lift to Life.” Visitation will be held at Highland Funeral Home (Warden and Sheppard) on March 20th between 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Bartholomew Church, Scarborough on March 21st at 10 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral at Holy Cross Cemetery.
