PARON, Maria (nee Merlo) Peacefully at Juravinski Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on September 18, 2017 in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Giuseppe. Loving mother of Lisetta, Enzo and Barbara, Valdi, David and Linda. Cherished Nonna of Lianna, Marissa, Todd and Emilia, Eric and Krista, Jordan, Andrew, Emilee and Bis-Nonna of Brooke and Jade. Dear sister of Giovanna Della Mora and sister-in-law of John Paron and George McKend and Giuseppina Paron. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada and Italy. Special thank you to the staff at Juravinski Hospital, E3, and St. Elizabeth Retirement Residence especially Magda and Kate for all their care and compassion. Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL; 43 Barton St. E., on Friday, September 22, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Vigil prayers on Friday at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Anthony’s Church on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
