GILPIN, Marion After a long and valiant fight, Marion (nee Scott) Gilpin passed away at The Meadows Long-Term Care Facility in Ancaster, on Monday, August 7, 2017 with her buddy, her granddaughter, her dancing partner, Rachel Baldry, by her side. Beloved wife of the late George Gilpin, of Hamilton. Loving mother of Laurie Goyette (Sam) and Jackie Gilpin. Adoring grandmother of Eric (Jaclyn), Kyle, Shane and Rachel Baldry. She is survived by her much loved brother, Ted (E.A.) Scott and his wife, Joan of Alliston. Marion was a graduate of Victoria College, University of Toronto. She was devoted to her family and was a long time member of Ryerson United Church in Hamilton. She was very fortunate to find a true friend in her nurse, Joanne Gardner, who improved her quality of life immeasurably. Thank you. We will always be grateful. Marion will be missed, not only by her family, but also by all of those who were lucky enough to meet her, with her feisty spirit and her love of life. She will remain in our hearts forever. Thanks and much love to the amazing staff at The Meadows. You have helped make the last 3 + years of her life some of her happiest!
