PORRETTA, Mario Peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Etobicoke General Hospital at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Oliva for 63 years. Devoted father of Sosio (Marcella) and Angelo (Shirley). Cherished Nonno of Christina (Ryan), Andrea, Nicholas, Jessica and Chantel. Proud great-grandfather of Alexa and James. He will be sadly missed by his entire family here and in Italy and his many close friends. Mario’s family meant everything to him, however his grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in his heart. Visitation to be held at the Glendale Funeral Home, 1810 Albion Rd. (at Hwy. 27), 416-679-1803, on Tuesday, August 22nd from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from All Saints Parish, 1415 Royal York Rd. in Etobicoke, on Wednesday, August 23rd at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
