MCCARTY, Orville (Ted) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Orville on August 21, 2016 at the Juravinski Hospital in his 84th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years; Doreen. Loving dad of Steven (Charlotte) and Darlene Wolfe (Pat). Cherished grandpa of Mitch, Rachel, Emily (Chris), Alyssa (Matt) and Connor. Dear great-grandpa of Dolan, Gavin, Colton, Trenten and Oliver. Dear brother of Frank, Donna, Ronald, Bev and Dennis. He will be missed by many other family and friends. Ted was a proud Veteran of the Korean War (1950-1953). He worked at Dofasco for over 34 years. Ted was an avid bowler since the early age of 19 years and continued to bowl into his 80’s. His family was always his first priority; his children and grandchildren came before anything else. Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME 322 Fennell Avenue East on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
