MERLE FORD 1921 – 2016 Merle died peacefully in her 96th year on Sunday, July 10, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Delbert Ford. Loved by her children, John (Liz) and Luanne (George). She will be missed by her grandchildren Cheryl, Steven, Heather, Ian (Jenny), Julia and George Jr. and great-grandchildren Lily, Seth, Madison, Rylee, Caleb and Wesley. Merle is survived by her step-sister Pat (Aaron), half brother Dean, nephew Bryan (Kim) and nieces Carolyn and Sharon (Keith). Merle grew up in Brougham, Ontario and lived in Scarborough and Bowmanville for most of her life. The last few years she lived in Bobcaygeon at the Kawartha Retirement Suites and the last few weeks at Pinecrest Nursing Home. We would like to thank the staff at both places for their compassionate care. A Memorial Service will be held at the Morris Funeral Chapel on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 3 p.m. with visitation an hour prior. Reception to follow. Private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
