DUEZ, Nancy (nee Beckett) Passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside on June 19, 2017, at age 72. A skilled bilingual editor and writer with a lifelong love of animals and the outdoors, Nancy will be deeply missed by her many pets, family and friends. Loving mother of Estelle (Devin), Pierre (Martha), Marc and Sacha (deceased) and cherished friend of Marc Duez. Beloved grandmother of Ewan, Alec, Claire and Ella. Dear sister of Doug Beckett and Joan (Kit) Simpson and daughter of Keith and Eleanor Beckett (both deceased). The family would like to extend their profound and sincere thanks to the staff and volunteers of the Kensington Hospice for their thoughtful care during Nancy’s final days. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow.
