ALDRIDGE, Nellie (nee Rate) – Passed suddenly at home at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late James. Predeceased by her sons, Bill and Jim. Dear mother of Nellie, Charlie (Marie), Sidney (Susie), Edith (Albert), Michael (Cathy) and Sherry (Ron). Nellie was proud grandmother of over 80 grandchildren, plus great- grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. Nellie was born in Port Union and remained there her entire life. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her daughters-in-law Dot and Pat. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26th from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McDougall and Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Road, Toronto, 416-267-4656. Funeral service on Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel.
