OwenCrozier MALONE

MALONE, Owen Crozier Son of the late Alfred Villiers Malone and the late Jean Crozier, nephew of the late Dick Malone and the late Norah Malone Garden, beloved cousin of Deirdre Malone and Jane Garden, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 13, 2017 at age 79 as the result of a heart attack suffered during dinner at St. Hilda’s Towers. Owen was a highly intelligent man who believed in lifelong learning. His interests included art, music, mathematics, the Russian language and C.S. Lewis. Owen was a committed Anglican and a genuine student of his faith. He was an engaging conversationalist with an intense interest in the people he met. Owen spent many years volunteering at the Migraine Foundation, the Toronto Rehabilitation Hospital and the Church of the Epiphany and St. Mark, Parkdale. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre for their many years of care for Owen and in particular Dr. Behesnilian and Dr. Tal. We would also like to express our appreciation for the support Owen had received from Dr. Urbach and all the staff at St. Hilda’s Towers in recent years. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, a donation to the foundations of either of these institutions would be appreciated by the family. The family will receive visitors at 10 a.m. with a service to celebrate Owen’s life to follow at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 21st at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church on the east side of Dufferin St., slightly below Eglinton. A reception will follow at the church. Please note that due to subway construction no turns are permitted at the intersection of Dufferin and Eglinton. To access underground parking at the church proceed north on Dufferin and turn right (east) onto the first driveway beyond Fairbank Public School that is immediately south of St. Hilda’s. Additional parking is also available behind McDougall & Brown Funeral Home – Eglinton Chapel. To access that lot continue north on Dufferin across Eglinton to the first street (Livingstone) and turn right (east). From there you can walk across Eglinton to the church.
