CLARK, P.Eng, William Slayter 1934 – 2017 Bill, son of the late Howard John Clark and Marjorie (Walker) Clark, died on September 26, 2017 at Meighen Manor in Toronto. Surviving him are his loving family – wife Lois, son Murray, daughter-in-law Debbie and grandsons Slayter and Charlie. Also surviving are his sister, Mrs. Margaret (Peggy) McBride, sister-in-law Mrs. Elizabeth Fleming and many nieces and nephews. In 2008 Bill’s vibrant and courageous life was turned upside down with the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease. The nursing staff on Davis Place at Meighen Manor gave Bill wonderful care over the past three years. The family also wishes to express appreciation to Yorkminster Park Baptist Church where the Pastoral Care Committee, headed by Rev. Dale Rose, and the past parish nurses, Cathy Newman and Heather Hetherington, have been with us all the way throughout Bill’s illness. A service of celebration and thanksgiving for Bill’s life will be held at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, 1585 Yonge Street, Toronto, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 with reception to follow in the Friendship Room.
