Mary PANCHUK
PANCHUK, Mary Passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016, in her 99th year. Always smiling, Mary had a zest for life and loved helping people. For over 30 years, Mary was a school teacher with the Hamilton School Board. While she retired in 1982, teaching was always close to her heart. Mary is survived by her son Robert (Susan), daughter Jane (Charlie), sister Anne, sister-in-law Olive, grandchildren Stephanie and Andrea and nephews Donald and John. Predeceased by her husband Michael, brothers John and Steve, and parents John and Olga. Mary loved to travel, visit family and friends, and kept active with bridge, crossword puzzles and baking. She was renown for her butter tarts. When winter arrived, Mary enjoyed spending time in Florida with family. At Mary’s request, cremation has taken place and her ashes have been interred with her husband – at Woodlawn Cemetery. A Celebration of her Life Luncheon will be held at noon on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Lo Presti’s at Maxwells, 165 Jackson Street East, Hamilton. Special thanks to the staff at Billings Court Manor for their compassionate care that they provided Mary over the last three years and prior to that, the staff at Villa Italia Retirement Home.
