LASSAU, R. Troy Peacefully, and surrounded with the love and laughter of his family on June 10, 2017 at Vernon Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, BC. Troy Lassau, beloved father of Andrew Lassau and his wife Christine Ludlow, Marissa Lassau and her husband François Harbec. Affectionate Grandad to Gabrielle & Madisen Lassau and Liam & Emma Harbec. A devoted husband for 40 years to his predeceased wife Julieta Lassau. Troy spent many years at Ortech as R&D Director in Metallurgy, an adjunct Professor for the faculty of Material Science at U of T. He was a passionate Rotarian, a hardworking Halton Catholic District School Board Trustee, Board Director for the Halton Children’s Aid Society and one of the founders of the Halton Industry Education Council in Burlington. The family will receive friends at DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, BURLINGTON CHAPEL, 2241 New Street (At Drury Lane) Burlington, (905-637-5233) on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, June 27th at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Parish, 196 Kenwood Avenue, Burlington. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. If so desired, donations to Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton or Parkinson Canada would be most appreciated.
