HUME, REV. WILLIAM GORDON Rev. Gordon Hume (United Church of Canada) passed away in Meaford on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the age of 91. Survived by his wife Rev. Helen Hume (nee Botell) of Meaford and father of Elizabeth Hume-O’Haire and her husband Jon and John Hume and his wife Heidi. Predeceased by a son Peter Hume and remembered by his wife Karzi. Devoted grandfather of 4 and great-grandfather of 3. Survived also by brothers George (Anne) Hume and David (Jean) Hume and predeceased by brothers Donald Hume and Sherwood Hume and recalled also by Sherwood’s wife Gladys. Family will receive friends at Meaford United Church, 7 Boucher St. E. in Meaford on Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 16th at 11 a.m. Donations to the Meaford United Church would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, N4L 1B9.
