RICHARD S. PAPAZIAN June 7, 1946 – September 16, 2016 Richard S. Papazian passed away peacefully after a short illness in Toronto. He was 70 years old. He is survived by his brother David and sister Nancy and predeceased by his father, Dicran and mother, Nadine and his brothers Stephen and Gregory. Richard enjoyed a colourful career on Bay Street where he was an accomplished trader and Director of D&D Securities, and enjoyed many fond memories of all the years spent there. As a former member of the York Club, Richard really appreciated good food and great company. He had many fond memories spent at Winston’s Restaurant. He had a great passion for harness racing, where he made many dear friends. Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff of Toronto General Hospital and as he used to say “You are all champions and I love you all!” Also many thanks to the terrific palliative care unit of Temmy Latner. Your kindness will always be remembered. A special thanks to Dr. Buchman and his team and all the exceptional care given by Dr. Christine Tunzi. Richard is survived by an incredible group of friends including Ralph, George and Terrie, Bob and Ruth, Albert and Wanda, Jamie W., Mario and Freddie, Brian, Richard C. and family, Venetta, Barry and Doreen, Flavio and Janet, Lisa, Mark and Kathy, Steve and Carol, Ivan and Sandra, Jamie, Ruth, Joseph and all his friends at One. There are no services planned. In lieu of flowers, donations to the University Health Network in Toronto would be greatly appreciated.
