Robert Charles KENNEDY
April 13, 1925 – August 8, 2016
Peacefully, in his 92nd year, loved and loving husband, father and grandfather, Bob spent the last full day of his life in the sun, surrounded by his family. Bob will be remembered as a man of integrity, a kind and gentle soul and an active member of Our Lady of Peace Church in Etobicoke. During and after his long career as an Accountant and Controller, Bob devoted his energies to volunteering at St. Helen’s Credit Union, Our Place Community of Hope, Our Lady of Peace Parish and Camp Quality. Bob and Joan, his wife of 62 years, spent their entire marriage living in the same happy home in which they raised their seven children. He had everything he could ask for in his family, which would grow to include 12 grandchildren. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mary Kennedy. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joan (nee McCabe); his children, Kevin, Kerry (Steve Castrucci), Chris (Kevin Howes), Carolyn, Gayle (Mark Saunders), Greg (Debbie) and Neil (Tonya); and his grandchildren, Sebastian, Jeffrey, Andrew, Colin, Aslynne, Vaughn, Evan, Jason, Sarah, Taylor, Jessica and Zachary. Beloved brother of Frank Kennedy (Ileen – deceased) and Dorothy Robillard. Brother-in-law of Rosemary Currie (Ralph) and Laurence Robillard (deceased). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke (between Islington and Kipling Aves.) on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace Church, 3914 Bloor St. W., Etobicoke on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
