COND, Ruth Elizabeth Lucas (nee Byers) —
July 1, 1919 – April 2, 2017
Passed peacefully at home after a long struggle with the effects of a stroke. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Larry (2005) and was the wonderful Mother of Jann and Don McQuay, Tony and Debbie Cond, and Judi Taylor. She also was the proud grandmother of Michael, Darren, Stuart, Gillian, Kristen and Jamie and a great grandmother of 14. Ruth had a wonderful life with a variety of interests ranging from art, riding, skiing, hiking, sailing, cottage life and all nature, but her family was always first in her heart. We’d like to thank her very special caregivers who have meant so much to the quality of her life. The family will receive friends at the W. C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby, on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 12 noon until the beginning of Ruth’s Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to her favourite charities:
