MERRITT, Shawn F. Dearly loved son of Fred and Shirrene, cherished brother of Rod (Lorna), Brad (Karen) and brother-in-law to Julie. Beloved uncle to Belinda (Sheldon) Bria, Kali, Cory, Eric (Emma), Brady. Shawn will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends. Shawn was a long time employee of the City of Hamilton, an avid fisherman, loyal Ti-cat fan and enjoyed hockey, golf, playing guitar, jamming with friends and writing music. He took pleasure in going to concerts and festivals with his brothers and friends, and riding his motorcycle on sunny days. Shawn always loved to spend time with his family at all family gatherings. A celebration of Shawn’s life will be held at the CRESMOUNT FENNELL CHAPEL, 322 Fennell Ave East, Hamilton on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 6-9 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on Shawn’s behalf to the Ronald McDonald House Hamilton or a Children’s charity of your choice.
