SYLVESTER GARDNER After a lengthy illness, Les passed away peacefully on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Scarborough General Hospital at age 79. He is survived by his wife Pauline Quinn-Gardner, sons Cleon (Lucy) and Nicholas, father and mother-in-law Peter and Mary Quinn, brothers- in-law Owen (Birgit) and Martin (Paula), sister-in-law Wendy (Geoff), grandchildren Stephen, Michael, Stephanie and Matthew, nieces Toni, Kayla, Amanda, Erienne, Jennifer and Michelle. He will be deeply missed by his niece Sweetie and their families in Clarendon, Jamaica. Les enjoyed golfing, skiing, travelling, bridge, dominos and Sudoku puzzles. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the Dialysis Unit and Tower 7 of the Scarborough General Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Ave., 4 traffic lights north of Hwy. 7 in Markham. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the Kidney Foundation.
