BAINE, Thomas William With heavy hearts, the family of Tom Baine announces his passing at the age of 74 on Friday, June 15, 2018 after a short but brave battle with cancer. Reunited with his wife of 46 years, Lynda (nee Smith), Tom will be forever missed by his daughter, Becky, her husband and son he never had, Andrew, their boys, Benjamin and Jacob, and the puppers.
Tom will be greatly missed by his siblings Michael (Deirdre), Pat (Glen), Terry (Eli), and Barb (Robert, late) and their families. Tom also holds a special place in the hearts of Lynda’s sisters Alana, Gail (Chris), Judy (Phil), Sherri (Dave, late), and Suzanne (Ian) and their families. Tom, a Dofasco retiree, was an avid reader and lover of animals. He loved a good mob story, a good cop show, and a good meal at a new restaurant.
Most recently Tom enjoyed his days with Meghan, Courtney and the gang at St. Joseph’s Villa Adult Day Program. Their kindness will not soon be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, June 30 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Adult Day Program Room at St. Joseph’s Villa, 56 Governors Rd., Dundas (entrance off of Overfield Street). In lieu of flowers, donations to Hammer City Paws Rescue in Tom’s memory would be appreciated.
