Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday March 27 in Sunnybrook Hospital. Survived by her loving husband Philip. Beloved mother of Caroline, son Philip and his wife Leslie. Devoted and wonderful grandmother to Gabrielle, Genevieve (Geoff), James, Christopher, Katrina, Alicia, Aidan and Brennan and great grandmother of Georgia. Vilma will be sadly missed by her nephew Bruce “Beau”, extended family and friends. Vilma was born in Vancouver in 1931 and came to Ontario in 1964. She and her husband Philip enjoyed a long and loving relationship of over 70 years. Vilma took great delight in her grandchildren, her flowers and her time at her cottage. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was the soul of kindness to the many varied people she crossed paths with. A special thank you to the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital for their excellent care and compassion. Friends may call at the TRULL “NORTH TORONTO” FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 2704 Yonge St. (5 blocks south of Lawrence Ave.) on Friday, March 31st from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (Yonge Street south of Lawrence Avenue) on Saturday, April 1st at 11am. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
