It is with great sadness that the family of Yvonne announce her passing on July 6th at Juravinski Hospital at the age of 83.
Yvonne was born in Saskatchewan on May 26, 1938 and raised in Kitchener, Ontario. She received her nursing education in Cambridge Hospital and her B.SCN from the University of Western Ontario. Yvonne was one of the first Entrostomal Therapists in Hamilton and a pioneer in stoma and skin care. She was a long-time employee of Hamilton Civic Hospitals and retired in 1996.
Predeceased by her parents Edward and Elisabeth (nee Krieck) Forler, her sister Jeannette Lapsley, brother-in-law Ken Lapsley, nephew Chris Lapsley and brother-in-law Bill Weido. Sadly missed by her sisters Audrey Weido, Sharon (John) Fawcett and Gayle Forler. Survived by niece Carolyn (Mike) Baltaz, nephew Paul Weido (Michelle Brown) and great-niece and nephew Brooke and Logan Baltaz. Fondly remembered by her friend Kathryn Danforth.
At Yvonne’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements entrusted to Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 617 King St. N., Waterloo (519-888-7700).
