Penelope “Penny” ZAMBALAS
ZAMBALAS, Penelope “Penny” Peacefully at the Brant Centre on September 24, 2016 in her 83rd year. Devoted wife of Eleftherios “Terry”. Loving mother of Sevasti (Kyprianos). Caring grandmother of Yianni (Elyse) and Lefteri (Heather). Dear sister of Michael (Nitsa) and the late Dimitri. Sister-in-law of Photini (the late Dimitri) and the late Frosso (the late Spiros). Godmother to Tassos Kritikos (Emily) and Paul Andrikopoulos (Michelle). Will also be missed by her nieces Maria Stamata (Dimitri) and Eleni Kydonieus (Nico) and her nephew Gus Andrikopoulos. Penelope will always be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends in Canada, USA and Greece. The family wishes to give a special acknowledgement for the care provided by Dr. Bruce Powers, the caregivers of the Hamilton General 7 South and the Rehab unit as well as the Brant Centre. The family will receive friends at DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL (King Street East at Wellington) 905-522-2496 on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 22 Head Street, Hamilton on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery. If so desired, a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Hamilton Health Sciences would be appreciated by the family.
