Robert “Bob” ZYBA
ZYBA, Robert “Bob” Described by those who knew him as kind and generous; Bob was always ready to support family and friends with advice or his quick wit and sarcastic sense of humour. His priority in life was the happiness of those around him. Predeceased by his father Andrej, Bob’s profound stubbornness will be fondly remembered by his mother Gwen and his siblings David and Sue, Andrew and Sylva, Mary, Kathleen, Nadia and Eman. Together with Charlene, he ensured their children, Derek, Leanne and Brad grew up in a house full of love, laughter and encouragement. He happily welcomed daughter-in-law, Silvie, and son-in-law, Mike into his family. Bob adored his grandbabies, Katelyn, Abby and Riley, as well as his many nieces and nephews and delighted in making them all laugh. A guiding force in the lives of many, he will be remembered by his family and numerous friends as the type of person you hope your kids will become. Thank you to the wonderful staff at St. Peter’s Hospital who cared for Bob until his death on November 9, 2016. A fundraiser style celebration of life with all proceeds to be donated to Hamilton Health Sciences will be held on December 10th from 6:00-11:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 58, 1180 Barton Street East, Hamilton.
