Ann “Elsie” (Graham) BRENNAN

Ann “Elsie” (Graham) BRENNAN

1933-2021

It is with great sadness the family of Ann Brennan announces her peaceful passing on July 27, 2021 at Idlewyld Manor in Hamilton, Ontario. Predeceased by her husband Jack Brennan (2000) and loving mother of John Brennan (Charlene Pratt), Joanne Norwood (Steve), Janet Vanderende (Stephan), and Judy Dobson (John). Ann was the proud grandmother of Morgan (Chris), Jordan (Andrew) and Evan Brennan; Daniel and Kaylee Norwood; Jenna (Vinnie), Shelby (Jonathan) and Leah Vanderende; and Laura (Brendan) and Lindsay Dobson.

All of her children and grandchildren loved spending special family time with her at “Grandma’s Cottage” up at Woodland Beach on Nottawasaga Bay. It was her favourite place in the world and she loved spending her summers there for over eighty years. Ann’s vocation as a primary school teacher with the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic School Board allowed her to enrich the lives of hundreds of students who attended St. Ann’s school in Ancaster and St. Catherine of Siena in Hamilton. For over thirty years she enjoyed the challenges of the classroom, not the least of which was teaching young children how to read.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home – Ancaster (378 Wilson St. E., Ancaster). As per Ann’s wishes she will be buried with Jack at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery at a private family service. For those who wish to view the service online, please visit http://www.livememorialservices.com/Home/ServiceDetail/15223 on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. EST.
