Following an automobile accident on Father’s Day, Rod Turcotte went home to be with his Lord from Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, July 9, 2021, in his 63rd year.

Dear son of Audrey and the late Edward Turcotte. Rod was the beloved husband of Arlene Horne (nee Traver). Loving father of Jeremy (Brittani) and Kyle (Nicole) Turcotte, Aaron (Brianne) Horne, Marie (Daniel) Horne, Emily (Cameron) Babiy and Bethany (Ryan) Tilstra. Grandpa of Zachary and Ava and Grandpa Rod of Chase, Lyla, Sawyer, Elizabeth, Tyler, Alexis, Avery and Claira. Brother of Sonya (Colin) McAuley and uncle of Ethan. Son-in-law of Edna and the late Rodger Traver. Brother-in-law of Brian (Becky), Joanne (Jim), Eleanor (Jeff), Beverley (Scott) and Shirley and uncle to their families. Sadly missed by his grandpuppies Achilles, Tucker and Levi. Rod was a proud employee of The Walters Group. Rod loved the culinary arts, F1 racing (or anything cars), soccer, music and was known to be “property of the grandchildren”.

Friends are invited to call at BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad Street East, Dunnville on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 5-8 pm. (No RSVP is required but due to limits on gathering size, please be prepared to wait and follow the instructions of the funeral attendants. Masks and physical distancing of 2 metres are required at all times while on the funeral home property).

The funeral service for Rod will be held at Steel City Baptist Church, Hamilton on Wednesday, July 14. (Due to restrictions on gathering sizes, the service is private and attendance is by invitation only.) Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Dunnville.
