It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Verna Whitley. Verna was the loving wife of Fred Whitley for 65 wonderful years.
Verna will be deeply missed by her daughter Nancy Turvey ( Rick) and son Rick Whitley (Beth), grandchildren Kristen (Mike ), Sarah (Matt), Andrew (Anna), great grandchildren Alaric and Felix. Verna grew up with 5 loving siblings Marilyn Helwig (Ted), Gary McCleary (Dorothy), Joanne Merritt, Bob McCleary, Trudy MacKenzie (Bill), sister in law Betty McCleary and brother in law Bob Whitley (Arlene).
Throughout her life Verna was a loving friend and caregiver to many. In her final years she was blessed the same loving care from the wonderful staff at the Village of Wentworth Heights. We, her family, are so very grateful for their presence in her life. Respecting Verna’s wishes cremation has already taken place and a celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
