ABRAMOVIC, Sofija (nee Buzuk) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sofija on November 10, 2018 at the age of 85.
Beloved wife of the late Srecko. Loving mother of Mira Draganic (Peter) and Olga Pavlovic (Nedeljko). Cherished Baka of Klaudija Rotim (Stanko), Josipa Kolich (John), Joseph Draganic (Lori), Mark Draganic (Jenny), Ante Pavlovic and Pra Baka of Filip, Izabela, Valentina and Nikolina. Dear sister of Ana Miljevic (the late Duro), Milka Prgesa (Ante) and the late Marija Civcic (the late Uros). Will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Canada, Croatia and BiH.
Sofija was born on September 26, 1933 in Ovanjska-Sanski Most, BiH and came to Canada in 1985. Sofija’s greatest joy was spending time with family and her love was the glue that bound them together. She would spend hours in the garden and loved cooking her freshly harvested vegetables for all. Sofija was an avid storyteller with words always honest, warm and wise.
Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME , 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. with Prayers at 7:15 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church, 1883 King Street East, Hamilton on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. Interment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery.
