CAMILLO Di MATTEO

Di MATTEO, CAMILLO Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his solicitous and devoted daughters, Filomena and Antonietta, at Humber River Hospital on January 6, 2019, at the age of 83. He has been reunited with his dear and faithful wife Elvira. He was predeceased in death by his brothers Emidio, Giovanni, Salvatore and sisters Assunta Di Nardo and Anna D’Alfonso. He will be greatly missed by his loyal and loving son-in-law Eugene Natale. He was a cherished and proud Nonno to Sarah and Joshua Natale and Giulia Rizzo. Camillo leaves loving memories to be cherished by his extended family and many family friends.

He will be forever remembered for his sociable, amiable, kind-hearted, benevolent and loyal disposition. Camillo was grateful and appreciative for the many blessings in his life. There was nothing more important to him than his family and friends.

A special thank you to the Rizzo family, the De Paolis family, the Pannese family, the Pascuzzi family and his favourite niece Lina Pilato, who made his last years bearable as he bravely and stoically struggled with dementia. The care, respect, love and compassion you gave him will not be forgotten.

The family will receive family and friends at the HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC FUNERAL HOME, 211 Langstaff Rd. E. (west of Bayview Ave.) on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 2–4 and 6–8 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place at the funeral home within the Chapel of St. Joseph on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
